Microsoft goes by way of a phased withdrawal of its items to give end users a extremely realistic volume of time to up grade. Three are 3 major phases:
Mainstream help – total assistance like bug fixes, stability fixes and style advancements. Microsoft commits to offer mainstream assist a merchandise for a minimum of five several years following launch.
Prolonged help – right after five years or 2 several years soon after the substitute product arrives out it goes into Extended Support with only bug fixes and protection updates.
Personalized assistance – after 5 years on Extended Assist (or 2 a long time right after the 2nd successor solution is launched). For the duration of this phase Microsoft only supports the solution on a chargeable basis. In other words for all functional purposes it really is unsupported for tiny to medium sized businesses.
