Escape to a hidden gem in the heart of Maine with Purposely Lost, a one-of-a-kind tiny home experience that blends luxurious comfort with eco-conscious living. Tucked away in Springvale, Purposely Lost’s Littlefield Retreat invites you to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature in a setting that feels both timeless and extraordinary.
This peaceful retreat is Maine’s only destination that offers both treehouse rentals and Hobbit house rentals, designed to bring guests closer to the natural beauty of the region without sacrificing modern conveniences. Set on 15 acres of pristine forest surrounding a serene trout pond, the retreat is a short drive from I-95, yet it feels like a world apart. Whether you're drawn to the charm of a Hobbit house rental or the elevated perspective of a Treehouse rental, you'll find thoughtfully crafted spaces that celebrate sustainability and serenity.
At Purposely Lost, the experience is about more than just a place to stay—it’s about living intentionally and treading lightly on the earth. The retreat is carbon-neutral and has developed only a small fraction of the land to preserve local wildlife and forest habitats. Structures are built using local materials, and great care is taken to minimize environmental impact, making this a truly unique and mindful Maine vacation rental.
Each treehouse and Hobbit home is a blend of rustic charm and modern design, featuring handcrafted details, state-of-the-art energy systems, and cozy interiors that invite relaxation. It’s a rare opportunity to enjoy a stay that aligns with both your desire for comfort and your respect for the environment.
Maine has long been a place where life slows down, where the quiet beauty of forests and lakes calms the mind. Purposely Lost captures that spirit perfectly—inviting you to step into a space where nature, design, and sustainability come together. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape, a solo retreat, or a family adventure, this is the Maine vacation rental experience reimagined
