There is a new lot of speak about going abroad for heath treatment. It is recognized as medical travel.
A couple in years past I was vacationing in Thailand. Asia is known for perfect beaches, Buddhist wats or temples, lovely people in addition to now medical travel and leisure.
I am above 50, in quite bad shape and I smoke. As We was walking lower the street, I had a sharp pain shoot through our head behind our eyes.
Let myself tell you, it scared the junk out of me personally. I think I might be possessing a heart stroke. I had never concerned with this kind of thing just before. I hate getting old.
I had a physical at the Bangkok chain of hospital which have facilities all over the country. These clinics cater to expatriots and medical visitors. I had obtained the things i considered in order to be excellent care in a greatly decreased price in comparison to the US ALL. I called and made an appointment.
They still got my stats on file from the last time We had visited. My “regular” assigned physician at the hospital is actually a cardiologist. Given that the pain was in my mind, they assigned me to a neurologist.
The neurologist performed an entire physical which include reflex tests. She drew some bloodstream and sent it out for screening. She concluded that I actually had not a new stroke and suspected that I probably a new nasal contamination.
Much as I actually like and regard Thai doctors, We did not really feel comfortable with the prognosis. I asked her if she was sure. Without having being at all disappointed, she said in case I wanted a great MRI to confirm her opinion, We could be slated within an hour or so. I decided in order to go ahead along with it.
Just within case you aren’t familiar, an MRI is Magnetic Vibration Imaging. This will be the big doughnut looking machine of which they slide people into on TELEVISION.
I went to be able to a very brand new and modern section of the hospital. I was brought to a transforming room with easy to use lockers to undress. I changed into a hospital gown and was slid into the doughnut. They put the cage around your own head therefore you do not move much.
Some MRI’s demand an injection of a magnetic color so your circulatory system can be mapped. In our case, these were only doing the human brain so it had been not necessary. After about เที่ยวน่าน of loud clanking, I was done. I had been directed back 2nd floor to wait with regard to the neurologists in order to explain the effects.
Several large 17X24″ x-rays were produced. The pc diagnosis had been written right about the film. It said I probably had sinusitus, an inflammation of typically the sinuses. I was prescribed an antiseptic.
They also gave me copies of our brain scans. As well as a new tan, I obtained medical tourist mementos and a excellent story.
